Stitch fix # 5

Firstly I want to say how much I love stichfix!  It has been an amazing way to get new clothes and have someone provide the style I desperately needed.  This is my 5th fix.  Why its taken me so long to finally blog about it is beyond me.

How does stitchfix work?  Fill out your style profile with your size.  Your stylist will pick out five pieces based on criteria you set.  For this fix I asked for a dress for a wedding and my stylist suggested the green one below for the event.

When your fix arrived you have 3 business days to send what you dont like back.  Usually I ask for my friends on facebook for their opinion.

Here is my first piece the light green Ohara Faux Wrap Waist Dress by Pixley.
I love the gorgeous pattern and color.  Im really looking forward to wearing this dress at work with a cami of course.  Verdict: Keep it.

My second piece is a purple dress by Gilli. The Emmie Cross Front Dress

At first I honestly wasnt so sure about this dress since I had no idea how to dress it up.  My cousin has a wonderful idea to wear tights, boots, and a fun necklace with it which is what I'm planning on doing.  Verdict: Keep

My third piece is by Fate.  The Florala Lace Detail Cardigan.

I love sweaters and living in the Pacific Northwest it can be quite chilly sometimes.  That being said I was not a fan of this piece.  I felt fairly dated and would not be able to ever button it which is the point of a sweater in my opinion.  Verdict: Send it back.

My fourth piece is by Margaret M.  Emer High Waisted Cropped Trouser.

I really like these pants but they were a bit expensive.  They fit well and are a great staple piece to a wardrobe but I already have several pairs of black pants.  Verdict: Send it back.

My fifth piece is by Spendid, the Shelburne Knit Top.

I love this shirt.  The color is great and the pattern is amazing.  Its incredibly soft and a good piece for my wardrobe.  Verdict: Keep.

I cant wait for my next stitchfix this summer.  I am getting them quarterly now to fit into my budget.  Next one the theme will be a beach vacation.

  1. So I'm searching google to see how people are working the Emmie Dress and I found your blog.. I got my first fix this week. I love your purple - Mine is royal blue - which I'll give a try. I also got the Emer pants - they fit great and my running buddy (who got me to try stitch fix) mentioned getting an expensive pair of pants - but she opted to keep because they looked so good. Glad to find your fix and thanks for posting!
